Various human rights instruments uphold the right of all people to access an education–including primary school, secondary school, and lifelong learning opportunities. But people with disabilities often confront physical, information, communication, and attitudinal barriers to accessing their right to an education. This two-page guide reviews these issues and explains how the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD) addresses the right to an inclusive education system for people with disabilities.
