Disabled persons’ organizations (DPOs) often use traditional media sources, such as radio messages, newspaper articles, or printed posters to promote a message or campaign. Social media offers additional benefits:

  • Allows direct communication with target audiences
  • Creates an online presence
  • Expands visibility and recognition for your work
  • Offers new avenues to market your message or product

The Creating Accessible Social Media Campaigns (available for download below) provides an overview of different types of social media, best uses for each, and simple ways to make social media content more accessible for all users.
